Coming Soon: A Brighter, Maybe Even Quieter, Rosario’s

Coming Soon: A Brighter, Maybe Even Quieter, Rosario’s

Lisa Wong

One of San Antonio’s most popular Mexican restaurants is taking on a new look.

Lisa Wong, owner of Rosario’s Mexican Café y Cantina, says the restaurant remodeling will offer some new (bright, of course) colors, a cozier look and some acoustical adjustments that should help reduce noise.

“We’re working with (designer) Jill Giles to coordinate the look of the restaurant with the (restaurant’s) space at the airport,” said Wong.

Rosario’s was closed Monday and Tuesday for some of the heavier construction work to be done. Actually, says Wong, the remodeling began a couple of weeks ago, but most of the work has been done during the night.

So, customers going to the popular Mexican restaurant now can see the progress. The plans include dropped ceilings, new tabletops and some banquettes.  She expects the job to be finished within the next several weeks.

Rosario’s is at 910 S. Alamo St.
