The meatloaf at Pappy G's

Pappy G’s Country Kitchen, 1210 Pat Booker Road, has recently expanded its hours. The haven of home cooking is now open 11 a.m. -3 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday.

The restaurant also celebrated its first anniversary in Universal City recently. It offers a host of dishes from gumbo and smothered pork chops to Mamma Brown’s Top Secret Meatloaf and seafood plates. Handmade pies and both peanut and pecan brittle are among the desserts.
