Souverain Alexander Valley Chardonnay 2007
Fact: Apple-toast-pear-vanilla aromas. Bright acidity balances the ripe apple-pear and oaky notes. Serve cool, not icy, to get the best view of the wine. Like most oaked chardonnays, this one matches very well with food. A classic example of California style. $11-14 locally.
Feeling: This is an indulgence when paired with a roasted or braised hen. A great way to pamper yourself with a rich, cool, and soothing white.
